IDS adds a new high-resolution 20 MP sensor to its range of low-cost cameras

Oct 31 2023

Cost-effective, industrial-grade cameras are an important growth driver for medical and laboratory automation, as it is not always necessary to opt for a high-end solution. IDS Imaging Development Systems' portfolio of low-cost cameras is aimed specifically at price-sensitive applications. One of the latest additions: a tiny industrial uEye XCP camera with the brand-new 20 MP sensor onsemi AR2020, featuring C-Mount and USB3 interface.

uEye XCP: the smallest industrial camera with housing and C-mount

The models in this camera family measure just 29 x 29 x 17 mm (W/H/L) and, thanks to their zinc die-cast housing and USB Micro-B screw connector, can be used in a wide range of applications in both industrial and non-industrial sectors. Their C-mount adaptor allows the use of standard-sized lenses and guarantees a low system price.

uEye XLE: particularly versatile for every application

Do you need single-mount cameras with or without C/CS mount or S mount and USB Type-C interface for your embedded vision solution? Or do you prefer models with coated plastic housings? Here you can choose the variant that's right for your application. Whether it's in small-scale construction, measurement technology, transport or quality inspection - the modern camera family is suitable for a wide range of applications.

uEye XLS: tiny cameras for on-board vision

With uEye XLS, IDS presents the smallest on-board cameras in its portfolio. Thanks to their excellent image quality without excessive heat generation, they are perfect for on-board applications. The industrial cameras are available with Micro-B and with or without a C/CS or S-mount lens holder. They are equally suited to large-scale projects and price-sensitive applications!

The cameras can be easily integrated into a wide variety of image processing systems. They are used, for example, as eyes on the production line, as visual support for robots or in autonomous navigation vehicles. Like all IDS products, they are characterised
