Stackable chilling incubators for life science applications

Feb 05 2024

The EchoTherm™ Stackable/Programmable Vibration-Free Chilling Incubators from Torrey Pines Scientific are specifically designed for protein crystallography and various life science applications.

These incubators are 27-litre capacity and utilise Peltier-based technology for efficient heating and chilling. Distinguished by their absence of compressors or CFCs, coupled with a vibration-free design, they prove to be the ideal solution for protein crystallisations. Additionally, these incubators find utility in a range of applications, including incubating marine samples below room temperature, facilitating enzyme reactions and deactivations, supporting hybridisations, ligations, storing oocytes, and catering to general lab incubations. For enhanced versatility, up to three units can be stacked using two stacker accessories Model IN30-300.

The IN35 model stands out as a fully programmable unit, capable of storing three programs in memory. It features precise temperature ramping both up and down, with temperatures adjustable from 4.0ºC to 70.0ºC, controllable to ± 0.1°C, and boasting an accuracy of ± 0.2ºC. The incubators are equipped with an RS232 I/O port for remote control and data collection, a digital timer in hours, minutes, and seconds, complete with user-settable Auto-Off, and audible alarms to ensure seamless operation. The chamber size measures 12" high by 10" deep by 14" wide and comes with two stainless steel racks with room for four.

These units are shipped with universal power supplies, catering to worldwide usage on local line voltages. The package includes an AC line cord suitable for the country of use, a user manual, and a comprehensive 12-month warranty. Compliance with UL, CSA, and CE standards underscores the commitment to quality and safety.
