Quality Systems International (QSI) have introduced new customer support services for WinLIMS Rental. WinLIMS Rental has proved to be particularly popular with smaller laboratories and businesses for whom the outright purchase of a LIMS would be out of the question.
QSI's UK Managing Director Clive Collier said: "To all these small businesses cash flow is absolutely key. They know the LIMS will improve efficiencies and enable them to increase their turnover and cut costs, but finding time for the initial set-up can be difficult. Commissioning a LIMS involves a number of essentially straightforward but potentially time consuming steps, like populating the system's database. While many customers might prefer to undertake these tasks themselves, competition for time with other day-to-day priorities in a busy lab may slow down the LIMS implementation. These new Rental Services are designed to eliminate this problem and bring the benefits of WinLIMS on line quickly and economically without disrupting the work of the laboratory."
WinLIMS Rental services include data upload, instrument interface configuration and assistance with customising reports. Many users train themselves using the extensive teaching aids provided with WinLIMS Rental, but conventional training is also available from QSI if preferred. For those who are really pressed for time a full implementation package can be provided. In line with the WinLIMS Rental philosophy, charges for these services represent excellent value measured against the potential time savings, and can be integrated with the rental contract if necessary.
