For 50 years BD FalconTM has been a trusted brand for cell culture laboratories around the world. BD has often been at the forefront of research to make available to customers state of the art surface technology for cell culture: BD FalconTM introduction of the vacuum gas plasma process for tissue-culture treatment in 1960. They celebrated their 50th birthday this year; BD BioCoatTM surfaces tissue culture vessels coated with molecules from the extracellular matrix to better accommodate cell attachment and differentiation; Extracellular Matrices 3-dimensional cell culture applications to better mimic the in-vivo situation; and the BD PureCoatTM is the latest development of the cell culture surface, an animal-free environment, which supports attachment and growth of a wide range of cell types in challenging conditions such as in serum-free and defined media.
