New Fibre Remote Nano-Particle Size Analyser for High Accuracy In Situ Measurements and Process Monitoring

Cordouan Technologies is pleased to announce the release of the VASCO FlexTM. Based on patented and field proven technologies, VASCO Flex is a fully versatile and flexible particle size analyser which integrates advanced single mode optical fibre arrangements to bring in clever and unique ways particle size measurements to your process. The flexibility of the optical fibre design allows proposing various measurement configurations tailored to your applications to better fit your constraints.  Currently VASCO Flex is proposed with three different off the shelve probe options: a standalone tri axis bench set up for measurements at 90° on standard cuvette cell; an optical fibre remote probe head for in situ and non contact measurements; a small foot print fibre remote cell with the patented dual thickness controller (DTC) system as in a standard VASCO system for measurements in limited access and/or confined environments.

In combination with the NanoQTM proprietary software, VASCO Flex is designed to be robust, accurate, easy to implement and operate, allowing the user to address a large range of measurement configurations and of applications, such as:  combined and simultaneous SAXS and DLS measurement systems for NP synthesis and growth process monitoring inside a glass capillary; in situ emulsion synthesis monitoring in high-pressure high-temperature autoclave/reactor (ex supercritical CO2 synthesis reactor- 80 bars-60°C); in situ characterisation of ultrafine bubbles (micron and sub-micron size) for generation process control and stability analysis; measurement in controlled and/or limited access environment conditions; in situ measurement of Ferro Fluid NP size kinetics under high magnetic field conditions.

The VASCO FlexTM system has been developed within the SNOW control (FP7) collaborative project funded by European Commission.
