Next Generation Lab to be Launched at Achema 2015

The laboratory world is in upheaval. The main buzzwords are mobility, flexibility, sustainability, low operating cost, smart interfaces and networked devices.

As a leading laboratory manufacturer and planner, Köttermann has taken on this major challenge and collaborated with partner companies in the laboratory equipment sector to develop the Next Generation Lab concept.

Similar to the automotive industry, which collaborates with IT companies for its latest innovations, Köttermann worked with Sartorius, Memmert, Hirschmann and 2mag to develop smart products that provide superior customer benefits.

At a joint stand under the Nexygen® banner, they are exhibiting the innovations that will have a decisive impact on future laboratories. Functional surfaces take over tasks such as stirring, heating, cooling and weighing to increase the usable surface area in the lab. Laboratory drawers open under gesture control to prevent contamination by germs.

The cooperation partners believe that trends have to be driven by manufacturers. Nexygen® is a good example of this.
