Cost-effective Integration for OEM

The PiezoMove™ series of lever-amplified piezo actuators from Physik Instrumente (PI) is available with various levels of integration for OEM customers, representing a cost-effective solution for reliable precision positioning. Offering up to 500μm of travel, these actuators are suited to a variety of applications – including dispensers, valves for microdosing devices and pumps in medical technology and biotechnology – and can be
customised to suit individual requirements.

The PiezoMove series offers response time of just a few milliseconds and, with the option of sub-nanometre resolution, can be used for both static and dynamic applications, such as cavity tuning in laser optics and microscanning imaging. For enhanced precision, optional strain gauge sensors (SGS) improve linearity up to 99.8%, and there is a range of controllers to ensure the optimum combination of performance and cost for your application.

PICMA multilayer actuators, from subsidiary company PI Ceramic, provide the driving force behind PiezoMove actuators, and feature full ceramic encapsulation for improved reliability. The multilayer construction of these actuators provides protection from humidity and current leakage, increasing durability, and this proven design is widely used in biometrics, medical engineering and image processing, offering consistent performance and exceptional value.
