GfG CC33 - flameproof encapsulated transmitters for flammable gases

Oct 10 2018

With the CC33 series, GfG offers flameproof encapsulated transmitters for flammable gases, which are approved for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. The new transmitters also meet the requirements of ignition protection type "d". They are available either in painted die-cast aluminum housing with 10 mm bulletproof glass pane or as unpainted stainless steel housing with 15 mm bulletproof glass pane. The latter is primarily used in the food industry.

The transmitters operate according to the principle of heat tone, the ideal method for the detection of flammable gases, and are designed for ambient temperatures of -20 to +50 degrees Celsius and an ambient air pressure of between 80 and 120 kilopascals. The maximum response time t90 is 10 seconds for methane (CH4) and 12 seconds for propane (C3H8).

Sensors developed by GfG and designed for longevity reduce follow-up and maintenance costs to a minimum. The expected service life of the measuring cell is five years.

In order to ensure intuitive operation of the transmitter even in the encapsulated state, the menu is controlled by means of a magnetic pen. All operating elements are protected behind the bulletproof glass pane. The proven menu navigation is identical with that of other transmitters from GfG, which ensures a short learning curve and low training costs.

Due to the colored graphic display and the intuitive LED display, the transmitter can also be operated "stand-alone". Optional it’s also available with an integrated horn and additional integrated relays. Both alarm thresholds and the relays are freely programmable during operation. Safety devices, such as optical and acoustic signal systems or fans, can thus be operated directly.

GfG, that’s nearly 60 years of experience with gas detection and measurement technology and products “Made in Germany”. As a global leader, GfG supplies portable gas detectors and fixed systems, which can detect a multitude of hazardous substances in the smallest concentrations with highly sensitive sensors and thus protect people, production plants and the environment from possible dangers and damage.
