Twin Column Materials Testers with Flexible Design and Comprehensive Software for Multiple Applications
Apr 26 2018
Ametek Lloyd Instruments has introduced a series of universal test machines that combine flexibility, high performance and comprehensive analysis software to handle a wide range of present and future applications.
The new LD Series of twin column materials testers includes five models with capacities ranging from 5 to 100kN. All are designed for routine, automated, and complex multi-stage quality control testing.
All LD Series testing machines feature an extra-large working area of 452 mm (17.8 in), crosshead travel up to 1070 mm (42 in) extendable to 1669 mm (65.7 in), and a wide speed range. They can be mounted above a floor standing compression cage for large sample or complete assembly testing. A simple change of grips enables the modular machines to meet any testing needs regardless of industry, material or test type.
The LD Series offers an advanced electrical design with a modern AC drive and preloaded ball screws to ensure better speed and displacement accuracy. A high stiffness frame helps prevent frame deflection and crosshead movement, while the use of pancake load cells improves accuracy at the cross axis and increases work area.
All LD Series machines are supplied with NEXYGENPlus analysis software that includes an extensive library of pre-programmed test setups to accommodate multiple applications without purchasing additional software. Built-in test wizards guide users through advanced customised test setups. Test results can be automatically exported directly into Microsoft® Word or Excel using user-defined corporate templates or pre-defined templates for analysis and reporting.
