New Microelution Sample Preparation Workstation Launched

May 17 2021

Biotage is pleased to announce the launch of the new Biotage® Extrahera™ LV-200 - a compact, automated sample preparation workstation, dedicated to 96 well arrays for microelution technologies and classical Supported Liquid Extraction (SLE), Solid Phase Extraction (SPE), Phospholipid Detection (PLD) and Protein Precipitation (PPT) formats.
The new Biotage® Extrahera™ LV-200 workstation is a GLP capable solution dedicated to 96 well arrays for microelution technologies. Using its 8-channel pipette head the LV-200 will precisely aspirate and dispense low volumes from 5 - 800 mL. The new system enables users to streamline pipetting by selecting up to three different pipette tips configurations within SLE or SPE workflows. Complete with comprehensive clean-up methods for biological fluids, the system comes pre-programmed with Biotage application notes, user-friendly prompts to assist in method building, and new features such as ‘SMART’ pipetting to prevent aspirating air into samples.
Like its predecessor, the Biotage® Extrahera™ LV-200 workstation has the same low maintenance design, intuitive software interface and enhanced data management tools of the Extrahera family. Where customer laboratory space is at a premium, the system’s compact footprint enables customers to optimise laboratory space.
“Biotage® Extrahera™ workstations have become reliable workhorses within forensic, clinical, and doping laboratories worldwide. At their heart is a robust positive pressure system for the consistent processing of all samples. The new Biotage® Extrahera™ LV-200 will help to transform automated sample preparation through its precision engineering, intuitive software, and flexible column/plate formats,” said Dan Menasco, PhD, Global Product Manager, Biotage.
