Third Generation Computerised Particle Analyser
Jun 13 2014
When it comes to analysing particle shape and size Haver & Boecker not only stands for top quality, but also for patented innovation. This year there is the new generation Haver CPA 2-1 and Haver CPA 2-1 HR laboratory instruments.
The entire hardware measurement process has been overhauled and improved. The process, from material input to discharge into the measurement zone, has been optimised. As a result handling is easier and faulty operation is practically eliminated. And in order to better protect the measurement zone from external disturbances, a cover has been integrated as a standard feature for both instrument types. The cover allows quick and easy access.
Another interesting development with the Haver CPA 2-1 HR is the optimised chute geometry, which once again improves the resolution of the agglomerate and makes material conveying more uniform. This allows perfect measurement quality to be maintained despite increased measurement speed. Moreover both the Haver CPA 2-1 and the Haver CPA 2-1 HR can operate with an integrated ultrasonic support. With this combination not only is the measurement time optimised, but also the application spectrum can be further expanded to include more difficult materials.
The proven line-scan camera technology is also able to extend its advantage over other dynamic particle analysis methods. For the customer this means falsified results arising from unmeasured sampling parts are excluded. Furthermore there is no double measurement of particles, which occurs with matrix cameras and especially with multiple camera systems. As a result, excellent reproducibility and measurement quality are achieved also with the smallest sample sizes. In addition, the exchange of feed chutes, measurement range switchovers and adjustments are unnecessary. Haver CPA offers a constant level of measurement quality for each individual particle over the entire measurement range at no additional expense.
