The filter plates are supplied complete with multi-layered filters for the quick and easy separation of proteins from cellular debris and unwanted molecules produced during bacterial, mammalian, plant, or yeast cell culture. Manufactured from virgin polystyrene with high optical clarity the system allows easy observation of sample suspension flow and progress monitoring.

The versatile Clara™ 6 Well Filter Plate Set is suitable for separation and isolation of molecules from eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells. Perfect for mammalian cell lines, yeasts and E. coli cultures this filter plate set provides the perfect solution for a wide range of downstream applications, including monoclonal antibody, and plasmid preparations.

Designed for performance, standard filter plates are supplied pre-packed with 0.45 and 0.22 µm polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membranes to allow removal of large molecules and contaminating bacteria in one quick and easy step. Customisable filter membranes and porous support options are available and can be supplied ready assembled. Packable with a variety of purification resins and supported by carefully engineered well base supports to ensure secure membrane positioning throughout the filtration process. In addition, pre-filtration can be accomplished by the rigid top filter frit and optionally packed with resin, such as diatomaceous earth. The Clara™ 6 Well Filter Plate Set includes a receiver plate for easy sample collection, designed with a conical well bottom to ensure maximum sample recovery, ideal for working with challenging molecules such as bispecifics and multispecifics with low expression levels. This versatile set of filter and receiver plates are available in two sizes, 30 mL and 50 mL, suitable for filtering suspensions up to 30 mL and 50 mL per well, respectively. Providing the ideal solution for medium volume preparations such as midi or maxi preps. The Clara™ 6 Well Filter Plate Set enables simple sample handling in larger volumes without struggling with multiple centrifuge tubes or fiddly syringe style filtration.

Tailored for efficiency the Clara™ 6 Well Filter Plate stacks securely onto its receiver plate for simple sample handling, perfect for high throughput sample processing. Fully automation compatible, with dual grip point design, the Clara™ Plate is vacuum compatible for controlled flow and efficient isolation of proteins or plasmids from growth media and cell debris. Conforming to ANSI/SLAS standards and available with barcoding for automated sample tracking and traceability the plates are sealable with a range of heat or adhesive seals for long term storage.
