XA 4Y.M.A.P Microbalance

Modern RADWAG-designed XA 4Y.M.A.P microbalances are intended for calibration and/or verification of piston pipettes by means of gravimetric method. They are equipped with an automatic adapter, integral part of which is an evaporation ring. Special construction prevents evaporation of liquid during the weighing process. An innovative system for evaporation ring opening and closing guarantees smooth and quiet door movement. Upon disassembly of the evaporation ring, the weighing device can be used as a standard microbalance.

RADWAG-manufactured balances are equipped with numerous protective components designed to eliminate errors (hermetic weighing chamber, filters dampening vibrations), and tools informing about errors occurrence (vibration sensor, electronic levelling device, ambient conditions module). The innovative system for weighing chamber's door opening and closing guarantees smooth and quiet door movement, and eliminates vibrations that may disturb the measurement. The solution enables to define how wide the door is to be opened.

The antistatic ioniser, an in-built component of XA 4Y.M.A.P microbalance, neutralises electric charges inside the weighing chamber, more precisely it neutralises uncompensated electric charge accumulated on the weighed object. The ioniser activates when the microbalance door opens, and deactivates when the door is closed. It is possible to control ioniser operation using weighing instrument panel.

Microbalances feature modern hardware and software architecture. Integrated software, Windows Embedded Compact 7, Flash memory, Double Hardware System guarantee speed and reliability when it comes to collecting and processing information. The XA 4Y.M.A.P series is equipped with LCD 5.7" colour touch screen facilitating device operation and presentation of the results. Complex databases enable users to register, print and export measurements. The weighing instrument system supports 13 languages.

'Defined profiles' is a useful microbalance function, it automatically sets weighing instrument's parameters in accordance with user requirements.

Profiles:

FAST – the measurement result is obtained in a very short time,

FAST DOSING – the balance quickly reacts to mass changes, especially useful for dosing or adding more product to the dispensed portion,

PRECISION - scale settings providing the minimum standard deviation sd ≤ 1.5 μg,

OPERATOR - customisation of the parameters in accordance with operator's requirements.

The microbalances are compliant with 21 CFR part 11 and EU GMP part 4, annex 11 requirements, including: advanced password settings, control of logging correctness, operator permissions, access to data management, creating backup, electronic signature.

The XA 4Y.M.A.P microbalances are compatible with Pipettes software, intended for determining errors of pipette volume measurements (volumetric instruments) in accordance with the ISO 8655. The software allows to calibrate, check and verify pipettes of fixed (single-channel) or adjustable volume (1, 8, 12-channel). Pipettes software uses database of information on RADWAG-designed pipettes and facilitates pipettes customisation.
