Showcasing GC & LC- Learn and Share at the 43rd ISCC and 16th GCXGC Fort Worth

Feb 13 2019

Comprehensive chromatography, microscale separations, sample preparation and the latest supporting technologies. The 43rd International Symposium on Capillary Chromatography (ISCC) and the 16th GCxGC symposia knows how to bring people together to share the latest developments. From 12 – 17 May 2019, ISCC & GCxGC has state-of-the-art technologies in industry, professional development and education, interaction with key opinion leaders, and the most recent cutting-edge research in the heart of Fort Worth, Texas.

Five days of state-of-the-art science, practical education, social events and unparalleled cultural experiences make for a great way to spend a week in May in the highly accessible Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex. This is the US-version of the successful ISCC & GCxGC conferences, held in even years in Riva del Garda, Italy. Whether it is your first time or your third time at ISCC & GCxGC in Texas, conference organisers have really stepped up their game.

Want to know the most about recent developments in gas and liquid chromatography columns and detection systems? Microscale liquid chromatography? The latest in pumped and electrically-driven separations, including microfluidics? Comprehensive chromatography techniques and how they can improve resolution and determinations from complex mixtures? Want to see how industry can support your research efforts? ISCC and GCxGC is the premier venue for the latest in comprehensive chromatography, especially GCxGC, but also in LCxLC.

Are you interested in a particular application space? Pharmaceutical, forensic and process analysis; contaminants in food and the environment; biomarker discovery and protein analysis; petroleum, energy and resource development; ionic liquids in chemical analysis; novel stationary phase chemistry; software and data analysis; atmospheric, air and breath analysis; lab-on-a-chip and microfluidics; novel detection techniques; multidimensional separations; new materials for sample preparation; and miniaturised and portable systems. The world’s top researchers will be there and so should you.

There are top plenary speakers, too. Professor Fred Regnier (Purdue University) will describe analyte-sequestering transport phases, an exciting new sample preparation technology he developed to isolate small molecules from complex matrices - a third phase in chromatography-based separations. Professor Jonathan Sweedler (The University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign) uses a variety of techniques to characterise the role of D-amino acids in an array of disease processes. Dr Chris Reddy (Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute) is the primary researcher studying the impact of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. GCxGC technology features heavily in his work, but he will talk about where there are still gaps in handling and mining massive data sets generated using comprehensive chromatography.

Other highlights include lectures by winners of the prestigious Golay, Ettre, Jon Phillips and Lifetime Achievement in GCxGC awards. Top-notch short courses on fundamental GCxGC, basic GC-MS, micro-LC and analytical applications of ionic liquids will be offered. Present your own break-through science, orally or in engaging poster sessions. Registration and abstract submission are open so check the website for information, to apply for a travel awards, or learn about our social events. Inquire at info@isccgcxgc.com. Don’t forget to checkout key dates for important deadlines and courses.
