Developments in Wet-chemistry Automation from Skalar

Feb 28 2008

Skalar would draw your attention to the ongoing development of methods for the SAN++ Continuous Flow Analyser. There are currently over 800 methods available for a wide number of parameters to meet the
requirements of various industries and applications. Recent developments to the cyanide determination (both free and total)
and phenol have made the SAN++ the preferred choice of both the water
companies for drinking water and waste water applications and also the soil reclamation industry. There is a similar story for the well established Total N and Total P methods. These have been upgraded to
meet the current analytical demands of particularly the environmental industry, where set recoveries on many complex nitrogen and phosphorus compounds have to be achieved. Skalar’s Total N and Total P methods with their on-line digestion facilities fully meet these latest demands.
Skalar is constantly developing both hardware and software to meet the
changing needs of their thousands of SAN++ customers. One such instance is the massive demand for analysis of soil for the construction industry for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. This has generated
hundreds of thousands of samples needing analysis. To meet this increase in samples Skalar have introduced the new SA1075 auto-sampler with an on board capacity of 540 samples and 40 standards.
