UK Distributor for BioPointe Scientific’s World-class Lab Consumables Announced

Cambio has become the UK distributor for BioPointe Scientific, a global leader in consumable lab products.

BioPointe offers a new standard of excellence across its range of lab products – from pipette tips and PCR plastics, to deep well plates and microcentrifuge tubes.

BioPointe’s ultra-premium pipette tips, including Total Defense tips, combine several advanced features to produce the ultimate in sample protection, sample retrieval, and contamination prevention.

Total Defense tips incorporate a filter that seals on contact, preventing the risk of cross contamination and any possibility of sample entering your pipette. Total Defense tips also enjoy the benefits of BioPointe’s low-binding technology – resulting in an ultra-hydrophobic surface that prevents liquid retention and ensures maximum retrieval. The surface does not use a coating, so will not cause sample contamination.

All of BioPointe’s filter tips – in 1000ml, 200ml, 100ml, 20ml and 10ml sizes – include Precise Pointe technology. The thin-wall design of these tips uses a minimal amount of plastic resulting in the lowest possible surface tension. With an ultra-fine tip, the Precise Pointe allows you to access the bottom of a vessel with accuracy, and ensures total retrieval of your sample.

PCR plastics from BioPointe include a range of ultra-clear, thinwalled, uniformly sized tubes to provide efficient, homogeneous heat transfer, ensuring consistently reliable amplifications. Their PCR plates feature easy-to-read alphanumeric markings, and provide rapid, even heat transfer for consistently reliable amplifications. Raised rimmed wells enhance the sealing surface and help eliminate edge effects such as thermal gradients and evaporation rates.

BioPointe’s range of 96-well plates, in 330ml, 350ml and 2.2ml sizes, with round or square wells and U or V bottoms, have been ergonomically designed and solidly constructed to provide easy and efficient sample handling, storage and transport.

The range of consumable lab products is completed with 1.5ml clear or coloured centrifuge tubes, designed with an extra thick wall and a precision sealing system to prevent leakage and accidental opening, and provide maximum sample stability during centrifugation.
