Air Purifying Respirators Offer Powerful Solution for any Application

May 28 2010

Modular in design and flexible in concept, the Draeger X-plore range of Powered Air Purifying Respirators can be supplied with a variety of hoods, helmets and visors to provide application-specific protection against
hazardous particulates as well as gases and vapours.

Ideal for use in dusty environments such as those found in woodworking, grinding, welding and pharmaceutical applications, the X-plore 7300 features a TH PSL filter against hazardous particles. With an adjustable
airflow of between 140 and 210 litres per minute, it can provide up to 16 hours of protection. For those applications where gases, vapours and particulates may be present, the new X-plore 7500 is available with a wide range of Rd40 filters. With an operating period of around six hours, it has an adjustable airflow of 160 to 210 litres per minute.

Both the 7300 and 7500 feature integral alarms, a multi functional operating panel and rechargeable battery operation. The audible and visual alarms are designed to warn of any potentially hazardous situation including low battery capacity, increased breathing resistance, a decrease in airflow or if the filter life is exhausted. In addition, the multifunctional operating panel allows the user to monitor the battery status and filter capacity at the touch of a button. The airflow can also be adjusted to meet individual requirements.

The rechargeable NiMH battery operates for up to 8 hours and is integrated into the blower to ensure freedom of movement and increased safety.

Light in weight and comfortable to wear, each of these respirators can be supplied with the new X-plore hoods, helmets and visors. Available in short or long versions, the Hoods can be easily interchanged with the
new Grinder’s Protective Visor, Safety Helmet with Visor, or Welder’s Protective Visor to meet the needs of any application.
