Gas measuring system (N2O, CH4, CO2, O2) for analysis of gas emissions in wastewater plants

Mar 18 2024

Wastewater treatment plants emit large quantities of greenhouse gases such as methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O). These gases must therefore be measured as part of process optimisation. Wi.Tec has developed an NDIR-based measuring system (INFRA.sens®) specifically for this application, with which these gases can be measured very accurately in the ppm range. In addition to N2O and CH4, the INFRA.sens® can also measure CO2 simultaneously. The oxygen measurement (0-25 vol.%) is carried out with a digital electrochemical oxygen sensor (O2.sens). The compact design can therefore be very easily integrated into the control electronics for these wastewater treatment plants. The long-term stability and reliability of this measuring system have been successfully documented in a wide range of applications.
