Precise petroleum and petrochemical measurement for the most hazardous areas on display at Achema 2018

Apr 18 2018

Bartec Benke’s renowned range of analytical solutions for precise measurements of crucial parameters within petroleum refineries and petrochemical plants will be on display in Hall 11.1 Stand E76 at the upcoming Achema forum for process industries in Frankurt, taking place from 11th to 15th June.

Among the analysers on show will be the rapiDist-4 a robust analyser capable of taking fast and accurate boiling curve measurements thus enabling fast process control of atmospheric distillation columns and blending processes for middle distillates and feedstock for petrochemical processing (naphtha), a wide range of petroleum products and liquid hydrocarbons. The rapiDist conforms to all of the worldwide standards to operate in hazardous areas, includes maintenance and diagnostic features such as the integrated decoking mechanism and remote access.

Also on display will be Bartec Benke’s RVP-4 Reid Vapour Pressure Analyser devised for the analysis of petroleum and various high pressure applications for liquids from natural gas. The RVP-4 can perform with highly viscous samples, including crude oil, without any additional wash cycles. This analyser also measures vapour pressure at different temperatures thanks to its in-built temperature control unit, making it perfect for previously tricky tasks such as quantifying true vapour pressure (TVP) at storage tank facilities.

The PPA-4 Pour Point Process Analyser, a system designed for fully automatic determination of the pour point of a variety of products in low and high temperature conditions. This instrument is widely used by lube oil producers to optimise production processes and the use of cold flow additives and by fuel oil producers to meet market demands. The PPA-4 is the only process analyser that complies with applicable norms for using a tilting device.

Visitors to the Bartec booth will also be able to find out about the user-friendly DPA-4, the only distillation process analyser complaint with ASTM D86, featuring Bartec’s unique RAM (Rapid Analyser Mode) which can reduce cycle times by up to 60%. The IECEx and CSA approved, FRP-4/CPA-4 offering ASTM compliant optical measurements of both cloud and freeze points will also be displayed, as will the FPA-4 flash point process analyser which offers reliable, continuous flash point temperature analysis for kerosene, diesel and other refined products with a low sulphur level.
