Moisture in oil transmitter is now available with robust stainless steel enclosure
May 16 2018
The EE360 moisture in oil transmitter from E+E Elektronik is now available with a robust stainless steel enclosure. This makes the device particularly suitable for use in harsh industrial environments. The standard version of the EE360 comes with an IP65 rated polycarbonate enclosure. Both versions can be fitted with a large, multifunctional display with integrated data logger.
The EE360 is dedicated for monitoring transformer, hydraulic, lubrication and insulation oils as well as diesel fuel. The device measures water activity (aw) and temperature (T), and calculates the absolute water content (x) in ppm.The optional 3.5" TFT colour display shows actual as well as logged measured data and facilitates configuration and adjustment of the transmitter.
The oil probe can be employed up to 180°C (356°F) and 20 bar (290 psi). An ISO or NPT slide fitting enables variable adjustment of the immersion depth. Using the optional ball valve, the probe can be mounted or removed even without process interruption.
The measured data is available on two analogue outputs (voltage / current) and on the optional Modbus RTU interface. The polycarbonate version features also an Ethernet interface with Modbus TCP protocol. An optional relays module can be used for alarms and process control. The output configuration can be performed either directly on the device via display and push buttons or with a PC using the free configuration software.
The two-part enclosure facilitates installation and maintenance of the EE360. For service, the upper part of the transmitter, which accommodates the electronics and the probe can be replaced within seconds, while the back cover remains mounted with intact cabling.
Beside the EE360, E+E Elektronik’s product portfolio for moisture in oil measurement includes compact devices for inline mounting and OEM applications as well as a portable hand held meter with different oil probes.
