Have your ‘Eureka!’ moment at Lab Innovations 2024

The lab industry’s largest UK event is returning to the NEC to champion UK innovation and sustainability this autumn, ready to inspire the future of labs for thousands of attendees. The highly anticipated event will take place 30 & 31st October 2024, attracting those who want to meet over 200 leading suppliers and manufacturers, and enjoy the thought-provoking conference programme hosted across four free-to-attend theatres.

Lab Innovations will have plenty on offer to see; Many leading brands from the industry have been confirmed to exhibit, including Waters, Sartorius, Scientific Laboratory Supplies, Veolia Water Technologies, Getinge, SciMed, Alpha Laboratories Limited, IKA, PerkinElmer, Integra Biosciences, Analytix and Bronkhorst UK.

Sustainability remains a key focus for the event. Working with partners like GAMBICA and the Royal Society of Chemistry, Lab Innovations has curated engaging talks paired with interactive experiences set to take place across the two days, with the aim to highlight the best sustainable solutions in science.

The Sustainable Lab, hosted by Andy Evans from Green Light Laboratories, is one of the biggest installations this year, showcasing sustainable products to visitors and exploring simple changes that can be made to improve the energy efficiency and reduce waste in labs.

Boasting four conference theatres, the show will feature four free-to-attend programmes from leading industry professionals exploring innovative concepts from multiple key areas in addition to sustainability. Notable topics include automation & AI, cost management, accreditation, and regulation – particularly on post Brexit legislation within the lab industry. This year, the show will feature a brand-new Quality Infrastructure Forum (QIF) in addition to four free-to-attend programmes from leading industry professionals. The QIF is hosted in partnership with the UK’s National Quality Infrastructure members including the United Kingdom Accreditation Service, the National Physical Laboratory & the British Standards Institution and is set to provide insights into lab accreditation, quality, technical assessments, and the future of AI in labs. Last year, visitors received insightful talks from world-renowned keynote speakers Dr Rosa Vasquez Espinoza and Maggie Philbin.

The Lab Awards will also be returning to Lab Innovations, back in the heart of the event floor on the afternoon of 30th October. It will be the perfect opportunity to come together and celebrate the achievements of both industry and academia in one place. Categories include Lab of the Year, Rising Star and Best Sustainable Innovation – so be sure to get your entries in before the deadline at the end of June.

Lab Innovations 2024 is set to beat 2023’s record numbers, with the show already set to be one of the most anticipated showcases of the lab industry this year. You can now secure your free ticket here.
