New software platform streamlines capillary electrophoresis workflows
Sep 23 2024
Thermo Fisher Scientific has announced the introduction of the Applied Biosystems™ InnoviGene™ Suite, a new browser-based software platform designed to automate and optimise capillary electrophoresis (CE) data analysis for biopharmaceutical and clinical research labs.
Capillary electrophoresis can be challenging to manage efficiently, often resulting in low sample throughput. The InnoviGene Suite addresses these challenges by leveraging AI-based base calling and data analysis to streamline workflows, ensuring reliable results and customisable reporting for Sanger sequencing.
The InnoviGene Suite begins analysis immediately after a CE run is completed, significantly reducing manual input from researchers and minimising the potential for human error. Accessible through a lab’s local network, the suite promotes collaboration while maintaining strict data security.
This platform enables compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, incorporating a dedicated console for security, audit trails, and electronic signatures. Its advanced machine learning algorithms improve data analysis precision, accurately identifying nucleotide sequences and reducing the need for resequencing difficult samples.
With automated tools for quality control, confirmation, and mismatch detection, the suite enhances efficiency and accuracy in Sanger analysis. Multiple users can access the platform simultaneously, facilitating collaboration across teams and allowing for seamless data sharing. Furthermore, users can tailor data presentations to meet their specific needs, enhancing clarity and relevance.
