Leading CRO expands into South Korea
May 29 2024
Avance Clinical, the award-winning CRO for biotechs, has announced the opening of new clinical operations in Seoul, South Korea.
Avance Clinical CEO, Yvonne Lungershausen, explained that the expansion is in response to growing demand from US biotechs in later phases and CRO partners seeking the region’s scientific expertise and patient populations.
“Our recent presentation of the GlobalReady drug development solution to over 75 Korean biotechs and pharmaceutical companies highlighted the need for local clinical operations with a global pathway,” Lungershausen stated. “There is clear demand for a mid-sized, agile CRO with in-house regulatory expertise and a strong track record in advancing high-quality clinical programs.”
The new South Korean operations will provide a strategic presence for Avance Clinical’s CRO partners conducting multi-regional or global trials. Korean biotechs will also benefit from Avance’s clinical services in Australia and the United States as they advance their drug development programs.
“Avance Clinical teams in APAC, Europe, and the US deliver world-class quality data and seamless geographic expansions to accelerate drug development programs,” said Lungershausen. “Our study data is accepted by major regulatory authorities including the MFDS, FDA, and TGA.”
“Biotechs need a partner that can deliver high-quality data quickly, accepted by the US FDA and other regulatory bodies. Supported by our in-house global regulatory affairs team, we navigate regulatory complexities with confidence,” she added.
Avance Clinical’s GlobalReady Site Partnership Network, with over 2,000 qualified sites worldwide, ensures maximum efficiency for biotech clients’ trials. The company is focused on accelerating drug development from preclinical stages to Phase III, using a streamlined multi-phase and multi-region process through its GlobalReady program.
