The next generation S-CLASS System for microwave-enhanced synthesis has been launched by CEM Microwave Technology Ltd. These systems have been restyled and re-engineered to offer singular features such as an integrated camera option that allows chemists to observe their reactions in situ, and intelligent, fully automated pressure management, which recognises different vial sizes without the need for adaptors; they also support the complete line of accessories including options for analytics, optics and scale-up.

The new Explorer® System automation modules offer a choice of 48-, 72-, or 96- positions. These can accommodate 4mL, 10mL, and 35-mL vials, which the system processes seamlessly. Explorer is the first automated microwave synthesis system to use an intelligent rack design; this allows the autosampler to recognize which size racks are placed on the deck and where. The system then automatically configures the deck map using the new Synergy software. Explorer even allows you to run different sized vials on the same deck in any rack combination.

Load your reactions and go it's that simple!
