Food products are analysed for several reasons, such as monitoring product quality and compliancy with official regulations. Moreover, the analysis of protein, through the measurement of Nitrogen, is used as an indicator for the nutritional quality of food products.

Skalar’s PrimacsSNC-100  is the perfect solution for accurate and rapid TN/protein testing in laboratories, with the ability to process a wide variety of nutritional samples in a single analytical run. The determination of TN / Protein is based upon the DUMAS methodology and detection by Thermal Conductivity Detection (TCD). The Dumas technique for TN analysis is a fast, more cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternative for the classical Kjeldahl technique.

The PrimacsSNC-100 has a large autosampler with 100 positions for sample weights of up to 3 grams. A special temperature ramping program is available, which can be used to optimize the combustion for specific food sample matrices.
