New borate flux options enhance sample preparation capabilities
Jul 17 2024
Alpha Resources LLC, the leading aftermarket manufacturer of consumables and reference materials, has recently expanded their product offerings to include borate flux options. Fluxes are commonly used in sample preparation for XRF, ICP, and AA analysis to optimise the solubility of sample and provide better fluidity for accelerated dissolution, better pouring, less sticking, and less bubbles.
Alpha’s new line of fluxes is offered in either powder or bead form with two grades of purity (pure 99.98 + % or ultra-pure 99.995 + %); they are also available with or without integrated non-wetting agents (NWAs). A variety of chemical composition options are available with the lithium metaborate base including: lithium bromide, lithium iodide, and lithium tetraborate.
Customers can be assured that the high quality, stable fluxes purchased from Alpha Resources offer outstanding fluidity and are both non-hydroscopic and dust-free. For ease of use, Alpha’s flux line is also compatible with automated dispensing balances, including Malvern Panalytical’s LeDoser and LeDoser-12.
“At Alpha, we are always looking for ways to better serve our customers. In 2024, we have several product expansions planned to support our position as the preferred consumables supply partner for our customers’ labs and businesses,” stated Ken Mantei, Director of Operations, at Alpha Resources. “This recent addition of a robust line of borate fluxes and additives allows our customers to take advantage of Alpha’s below-OEM pricing and high quality, with the convenience of ordering multiple supplies from a single trusted source. Alpha continues to prioritise customer convenience and availability of high-quality products to ensure reliable results for our customers.”
