Gas Combustion Engineering Specialist Joins Service Team

Sci-Lab Analytical, the UK dealer for ELTRA® analysers and Alpha Resources® consumables, is pleased to announce the appointment of Nathan Horrabin as a service engineer, bringing its UK service team to four full-time professionals with a combined experience of over 65 years.

“Hiring Nathan is part of Sci-Lab’s on-going commitment to supporting service needs for UK labs with analysers. Nathan’s experience with OEM organic analysis equipment is a good fit with our growth of Alpha Resources organic consumables,” noted Sales and Service Manager Keir Hague. “With the Sci-Lab service team, you get the benefit of our engineers’ OEM experience and factory training coupled with the convenience of a UK-based service team. This also results in service pricing that is significantly below OEM service charges with less downtime and the same, if not better, quality results.”

Nathan has more than 10 years of experience as a service engineer, including eight with a major OEM, and trained as an electrical inspector. He specialises in gas combustion analysers in carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and sulfur; and has extensively collaborated with academic customers to develop and improve sample applications. Nathan has worked across the UK and Europe training customer in basic and advanced gas combustion analysis classes. He is experienced with both hardware and software service engineering for multiple analyser product lines.

Offering support by telephone, internet, e-mail or in-person to ensure the longevity of systems and reduce downtime as far as possible, the Sci-Lab service team are specialists in ELTRA® and LECO® analysers with a working knowledge of other brands.
