NuAire animal transfer stations
Jul 26 2024
The NuAire AllerGard Animal Transfer Station provides the vivarium a clean air environment for small lab animal cage changing procedures and a choice between a two-sided configuration to prioritise flexible access or a one-sided configuration to prioritise allergen protection. In both cases, a supply impeller sandwiched between a pre-filter and supply HEPA filter above the work zone supplies clean air to the changing area. Meanwhile, a powerful DC ECM motor, similarly sandwiched between an exhaust pre-filter and exhaust HEPA filter, pulls air down through the work surface slots and pushes it out the bottom. The result is a top to bottom current of air that not only protects the animals manipulated inside but also contains allergens to protect the technician. For the most robust allergen containment, the single sided version concentrates a more powerful inflow on the remaining open side. In either case, motorised height adjustability and castors allow for mobility and adaptability. Note: Not intended for use with biological hazards and not a replacement for a biosafety cabinet.
