Flexible containment without the need for ducting

26 Aug, 2026

Designed for laboratories where effective containment is required without the installation demands of a traditional ducted fume cupboard, the FiltAire recirculating fume cupboard from GPE Scientific, provides a flexible, energy-efficient solution for a wide range of applications.

Contaminated air is drawn through high-performance filtration before clean air is returned to the laboratory, removing the need for external ductwork and helping to simplify installation. This makes the system particularly suitable for existing laboratories, changing workflows and locations where building modification is impractical.

A clear working area provides excellent visibility, while the compact design helps maximise usable laboratory space. Low energy consumption also reduces the ongoing operating costs associated with conditioned air extraction.

Available in a wide range of configurations and working widths to suit different laboratory requirements, FiltAire recirculating fume cupboards can support applications including sample preparation, small-scale chemical processes, materials research and other sensitive laboratory work where flexible local containment is required.
