Flexible dual-access fume hood

12 Jun, 2026

The UniFlow Dual Entry Fume Hood from Hemco is designed to provide safe, controlled access from both the front and rear, making it ideal for teaching laboratories, shared workspaces and applications requiring access from two separate areas.

Available in a range of sizes, the hood features a constant volume air bypass design and is built entirely from chemical-resistant, flame-retardant composite resin using Hemco’s seamless one-piece ‘Unitised’ construction. With no exposed metal hardware, the non-metallic design offers enhanced durability and corrosion resistance in demanding laboratory environments.

Standard features include horizontal sliding glass sash doors, vapour-proof lighting, ceiling baffle and a removable front access panel, while optional additions include airflow monitoring, plumbing and electrical services, cabinets, work surfaces and exhaust systems.

Designed for island bench installations or wall-mounted configurations between adjoining rooms, the system allows experiments, demonstrations or equipment servicing to be carried out safely from either side while maintaining effective fume containment. Only one side can be opened at a time, ensuring safe airflow control throughout operation.
