Dan Crothers to Steer Seward Global Operations

Seward Ltd, a world leading manufacturer of blenders and accessories used during sample preparation for microbiological analysis, has appointed Dan Crothers as Managing Director to direct strategy and implement a series of new developments within the Company.

Dan, who joined the company in 2008, previously managed its Singapore operations and was latterly General Manager of Seward in the UK. In his new role he will oversee the plans for further growth of Seward’s business globally, including expansion into new markets such as India, and the launch of a number of new products. 2014 saw strong growth for Seward with a 15% increase in revenue in both Europe and North America.

Growth in the US has been spearheaded both by the appointment of Gary Ross as CEO of Seward Laboratory Systems Inc. and the opening of new offices in Florida. With this structure in place, Seward is now positioned to further develop its South American market.

“Over the past few years, Dan’s understanding of our customers’ needs and international experience has contributed greatly to growing the Stomacher brand, as well as the development of our new product lines,” said Howard Matthews, outgoing MD and Non-Executive Director of Seward Ltd. “Dan brings both experience and fresh thinking to the MD position and is extremely well qualified to deliver our ambitious company milestones in 2015 and beyond.”
