Science World, the Fisher Scientific Laboratory Experience, made its successful launch in Spain at the IFEMA North Convention Centre in Madrid on 24 May. The event, hosted by Thermo Fisher Scientific, showcased the latest in laboratory innovations available through Fisher Scientific. Thousands of products were available for attendees to experience, making it an ideal event for anyone working in or around a laboratory.

Highlights from Science World included the following keynote speakers: José Pedro Cerón-Carrasco who presented ‘Molecular models applied to drug design world: How little we know, how much to discover’, and Mariano Sigman who talked about ‘Neuroscience of human decisions’. The event also featured a Safety and Cleanroom Solutions room, an Industrial Capabilities room, a caricaturist and a photo booth.

Leading the way in serving science, the event attracted 409 delegates from across Spain and brought 33 leading suppliers together.

”The Spanish market is really important for Fisher Scientific in Europe. Science World is the first time that any company in the sector has undertaken such an effort to organise such a big event in Spain. It shows the connection and power of Fisher Scientific with the scientific community here,” said Ángel Barroso, Country Sales Manager, Spain & Portugal for Thermo Fisher Scientific.
