The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST), represented by its CEO, Gabriel Crean and the VTT, Technical Research Centre of Finland represented by its president and CEO, Antti Vasara, recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding ( MOU) in which both partners agreed to reinforce their collaboration in domains that are essential for the economy of their countries and in which they have recognised expertise and know-how. The agreement will see the two organisations committed to promoting collaboration with industry in research projects co-funded by European programmes, in particular Horizon 2020, in fields including Smart Industry and advanced manufacturing, Energy Efficiency, Advanced and bio-based materials, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), Bioeconomy, Smart Citizens and Smart Cities as well as Lobbying at EU-level.
The signing of this MOU was part of the three-day State Visit (May 10 - 12, 2016) in Finland of HRH Grand Duke Henri and HRH Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, who visited VTT and attended the signing ceremony.
