The Tensiometer K11MK4 from Krüss is a stand-alone instrument for routine quality control measurements of the surface and interfacial tension. With the large, high-resolution touch panel based on Windows, automatic measurements with the ring, plate or rod methods, as well as lamella detachment and density measurements, can be parameterised, started and saved. Measuring parameter templates for each method permit a measurement to be drawn up in only a few seconds. However, speeds, paths and detection sensitivities can also be customised to suit the particular task, or adapted to comply with international standards. The highly accurate control of the preset movements without user intervention ensures a high degree of reproducibility.

The instrument is equipped with a high-precision force sensor that allows resolution of the measuring values to 0.01 mN/m. The sample table moves within a speed range of 0.1 to 500 mm/min. By using optional accessories, measurements can also be carried  out in a temperature range between -10 and 130°C. The results and all their associated measuring parameters are stored in the large 8-gigabyte memory of the touch panel, together with raw data such as the time-dependent or height-dependent force values or the lamella height. Clear reports can be transferred to a USB-stick or printed out on a directly connected printer.
