Specific Hydrogen-bond Adsorption Resolution Column
Sep 07 2012
Crawford Scientific and SIELC announce SHARC 1™, the first commercially available column whose primary separation mode is hydrogen bonding. Using a combination of methanol and acetonitrile as the mobile phase this unique column technology enables the separation of molecules of similar structure such as isomers and related impurities. The low viscosity mobile phase carries the unique advantage of being able to solubilise molecules of very high to very low polarity and can cut analysis time up to 5-fold compared with aqueous elution methods.
“This new stationary phase represents a significantly different selectivity to add to our already extensive analytical armoury” said Tony Taylor, Technical Director, Crawford Scientific.
