SGS INSTITUT FRESENIUS is one of Germany’s biggest environmental laboratories. They have successfully automated the determination of the permanganate index using a Metrohm 855 Robotic Titrosampler.

SGS INSTITUT FRESENIUS automate processes as far as possible. However, the permanganate index of water samples

used to be determined manually. This was the case for years – until the specialists of Metrohm Germany could help.“They were the only ones who were able to offer a convincing solution for the utomation of the permanganate index,” says David Welter, Teamleader, Sum Parameters, at SGS INSTITUT FRESENIUS. The benefits for him and his colleagues are obvious: they save a lot of time while reducing the risk of human error to virtually zero.
