Biohit OY is launching a new Helicobacter pylori IgA/IgG ELISA kit. Since both human IgA and IgG antibodies to Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) are detected in EDTA plasma and/or serum, the new test finds H. pylori infection more reliably. IgA and IgG antibodies are measured simultaneously from the same well.

The Helicobacter pylori IgA/IgG ELISA test is intended to aid in the diagnosis of H. pylori infection in adult patients with clinical symptoms of gastritis. The test is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the simultaneous detection of human IgA and IgG class antibodies to H. pylori in EDTA plasma and serum.

Helicobacter pylori IgA/IgG ELISA kit will be part of the unique GastroPanel test, developed by Biohit. GastroPanel is a non-invasive, risk free and patient-friendly diagnostic test for dyspeptic patients. It provides information on the condition of the mucous membrane of the stomach, such as atrophic gastritis and Helicobacter pylori infection.
