Precision Thread Headspace-vials

As magnetic caps are fairly hard to crimp La-Pha-Pack® have developed 10ml and 20ml Screw Neck Vials in clear and amber glass with Magnetic Screw Seals for the CTC Combi PAL or similar instruments, like the Thermo TriPlus or Shimadzu AOC5000. In the crimp neck dominated headspace area the screw closure technology represents a more convenient and easier to open and to close alternative to the magnetic crimp seals. Samples can be taken out in the field without the need to carry any crimping tool along or to later transfer the sample into a different vial. The centre hole is designed that way, that it is suitable for SPME as well as for standard Headspace analysis, but still offers enough surface for the magnet to transport a completely filled vial.
Furthermore the risk of incorrectly crimped vials is avoided and reproduceable analysis results are guaranteed. Penetration is much easier and safer, as the liners have a reduced total thickness in comparison to those of the crimp seals. The special precision thread forces the septa firmly against the glass rim to seal the vial gas-tightly. All items of this product line have been tested and approved by CTC Analytics regarding penetration, tightness and magnetic force. The seals are now also available in a closed top version. With their latest product catalogue also PerkinElmer now offer these vials for their TurboMatrix 40 and 110 Headspace autosampler, if being built after 01.09.2006. Convenience and safe handling make them the ideal choice as Headspace vials for reliable analysis results.
