What`s in Your Freezer?

Sep 02 2009

The Brady Freezerbondz™ labelling system solves the problem of labelling already frozen samples. With no need to thaw the sample to apply the label, the risk of sample deterioration is eliminated. The specially formulated permanent adhesive on Freezerbondz labels is secure over a wide range of temperatures – samples can be taken from a cryogenically frozen state to a hot water bath without any loss of adhesion – and there’s no need to overlap the label to achieve a permanent bond.

Another benefit of these labels is that when printed with the correct Brady Thermal Transfer print system, labels retain their legibility and are resistant to most laboratory chemicals, including solvents such as ethanol, toluene, xylene and DMSO. Brady Freezerbondz labels are available for vials, bottles and well plates and in custom sizes, and are easy to apply to curved surfaces.

Being unable to identify an irreplaceable sample could be a major disaster for any research project, and if it happened to be a human tissue sample could even lead to prosecution under the Human Tissue Act.
Brady’s laboratory identification products have been developed by scientists for scientists, to meet the challenges of secure labelling in the laboratory environment.
