Filter Tips for Highest Pipetting Safety
Feb 23 2007
On average the ExpellPlus HDPE filter pore size is 3 to 4 times smaller than other filters, and as a result of the exponential nature of the mathematics of the sphere, a very small change in the filter pore size leads to a large change in the effectiveness of the filter. Thus the ExpellPlus filter tips most effectively prevent contamination due to aerosol formation (such as DNA), and dangers from carry over of toxic, infectious, radioactive or other hazardous material.
The tip itself made from a specially developed polymer and produced in highly polished moulds, in combination this leads to a significant reduction of liquid retention with a resultant very high pipetting consistency (precision), and low binding of sample material such as DNA, RNA or protein.
The ExpellPlus Filter tips are certified RNase, DNase and Pyrogen free.
