ACE 1100 Ion-Molecule Reaction Mass Spectrometer (IMR-MS) is an optimised Real-time mass spectrometer for qualitative and quantitative analysis of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) created by YOUNG IN ACE. It can be used not only in the laboratory but also in the place where on-site analysis is required, and on-line monitoring is necessary.
Advances in technology bring convenience to our lives but also increased exposure to more diverse and harmful chemicals. One of the main culprits that need to monitor strictly is Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs). VOCs have harmful effects on the human body in the atmosphere, destroy the ozone layer in the stratosphere, directly cause global warming.
VOCs emission can be varied depending on the weather and time. To minimise the impact, it is important to locate the source of emissions by real-time monitoring the occurrence of pollutants. Currently, managing VOCs is done through the inspection method by manpower. However, the number of industrial facilities under the jurisdiction is much higher than the number of inspection personnel. Therefore, we are focus on how to reduce VOCs efficiently without harming people and the environment.
ACE 1100 IMR-MS can get the results quickly by loading the sample directly and can be operated simply through software. Therefore, even non-experts can analyse in real-time. It means how it could be a perfect fit as a Mobile Lab, act for not just monitoring the specific area, and give instant solutions on-site.
