Now you can order your scientific equipment with a few easy touches in less than 30 seconds.

There are over 350,000 iPhone apps out there, but the scientific community may not exactly have been spoilt for choice to find an app to make life easier. Fisher Scientific has created the perfect solution and now you can be one of the first to try it out.

The app was launched recently and empowers customers to search for and order Fisher Scientific products, use a barcode scanner to speed up the ordering process and stay connected to the latest news and tweets. The app aims to take customer service to a whole new level for the company and is an unrivalled step forward in innovation within its field.

Marketing Director for Fisher Scientific UK/Northern Europe – Dr Chris Bridges, is at the helm of these exciting developments and commented

“Innovation and excellence has always been at the core of our service and our new iPhone app really embraces the latest technology, along with our arrival on facebook and twitter, to put the customer in the driving seat. It’s fast and fun to use and we will be excited to see the response from our customers over the coming months”

The official launch for the app will take place on 26th May at Science World 2011, the UK’s leading laboratory event. Now in its 13th year the event will be held at Magna Science Centre in South Yorkshire. It is free to attend and you can reserve your place at www.fisher.co.uk/scienceworld

If you just can’t wait that long to try out this groundbreaking technology, then download your app for free at www.fisher.co.uk/mobile or simply search for ‘Fisher Scientific’ in the Apple app store (currently UK only).
