Designed to handle flow rates of up to 650 ml/min, the instrument helps optimise compound recovery and enhance the efficiency of fraction collection.

In preparative liquid chromatography, fractions are typically collected based on volume. However, fluctuations or inaccuracies in flow rate can compromise both purity and yield. By continuously measuring absolute flow rates, the Prep Flowmeter enables tighter control of the separation process - improving both the quality and quantity of collected fractions.
Beyond process optimisation, the device is also a valuable tool for troubleshooting and routine performance validation of chromatography systems.

Compact and USB-powered, the Prep Flowmeter integrates easily into most setups. It employs a non-invasive thermal flow sensor that delivers high-resolution, high-sensitivity readings without interfering with the process stream. Its wide dynamic range makes it suitable for a variety of preparative applications.

Flow data can be monitored in real time using an intuitive PC-based app, which supports continuous recording and secure data storage. A bright OLED display shows the current flow rate locally, while onboard communication buffering ensures no data is lost - even if the PC connection is briefly interrupted.
