New partnerships expand access to on-demand DNA synthesis

18 Mar, 2026

DNA Script has signed distribution agreements across Latin America, Japan, and South Korea, giving researchers faster, local access to high-quality ssDNA oligonucleotides via its SYNTAX® platform.

The partnerships with Gencell (Latin America), Bio-Medical Science Co (South Korea), and BioStream Co (Japan) bring on-demand DNA synthesis closer to labs far from traditional manufacturing hubs in Europe and the US. The SYNTAX® benchtop system allows scientists to produce oligonucleotides in just hours, cutting reliance on overseas suppliers and streamlining research workflows.

Marc Montserrat, CEO of DNA Script, said: “These agreements expand access to ssDNA oligos worldwide, helping researchers work faster and more independently, no matter where they are.”

Fabio Andrés Zapata, CEO of Gencell, added: “Bringing SYNTAX® to Latin America strengthens the region’s scientific capabilities and accelerates local biomanufacturing.”

Dukhyun Lim (Bio-Medical Science Co.) and Iwabuchi Takeshi (BioStream Co.) highlighted the benefits of greater control, speed, and independence for researchers in their countries.

SYNTAX® supports applications from mRNA vaccine development to personalised medicine, transforming DNA accessibility and enabling labs to take DNA production in-house.
