Challoner brings more than 30 years of international experience across the chemical and biotechnology sectors, with a proven track record in innovation, commercial strategy, and operational leadership.
Most recently Group Chief Scientific Officer at Croda International Plc, Challoner led global R&D strategy, built a biotechnology programme from the ground up, and oversaw the scale-up and regulatory approval of mRNA delivery components used by Pfizer/BioNTech for the Comirnaty COVID-19 vaccine, generating $300 million in sales. Executive Chair Ian Shott said: "Nick’s unique combination of strategic vision, scientific insight, and commercial experience makes him the ideal leader for Ingenza as we enter this pivotal growth phase."
Challoner added: "I am honoured to lead Ingenza at such an exciting time. My focus will be on strengthening our position as a leading CRDMO partner, driving innovation and operational excellence, and supporting our talented team to deliver even greater value for our customers."
Fotheringham commented: "With Nick joining as CEO, Ingenza is well-positioned to accelerate growth and innovation, while I concentrate on the technology and strategic pillars of the business."
