Sapio Sciences has formed a strategic partnership with global consulting and technology firm ZS to accelerate the digital transformation of laboratory environments across biopharma research, development and chemistry, manufacturing and controls (CMC).
The collaboration combines Sapio’s expertise in AI-driven laboratory informatics with ZS’s strengths in life sciences consulting, systems integration and organisational change. The aim is to help organisations build more connected, compliant and data-driven laboratory ecosystems capable of supporting modern R&D and regulated manufacturing workflows.
Beyond software deployment, the partnership is designed to support the broader shift towards digitally enabled laboratories, where scientific, operational and regulatory data can be integrated and used more effectively throughout the drug development lifecycle.
As part of the agreement, ZS has joined Sapio’s partner network, supporting customers with system design, integration, validation and adoption as laboratories move towards more structured and traceable digital environments.
Mike Hampton, Chief Commercial Officer at Sapio Sciences, said:
“Biopharma organisations are investing heavily in digital laboratories, particularly in development and CMC environments where data integrity and operational coordination are critical.”
Rohan Fernando, Managing Principal, Life Sciences R&D and Medical at ZS, added:
“Modern R&D increasingly depends on connected, traceable laboratory data that can support faster and more effective scientific decision-making.”
The partnership is expected to support wider adoption of modernised laboratory systems across global biopharma organisations.
