Grind Frozen Tissue Directly in Microcentrifuge Tubes
Apr 29 2011
Reduce sample loss and collection time by pulverising tissue and extracting DNA or RNA from tiny tissue samples directly in a 1.5ml microcentrifuge tube. It is now possible with the Scienceware® Liquid Nitrogen Cooled Mini Mortar & Pestle Set (376200100) which features a stainless steel mortar with a welded fixture that cradles the tube and is suspended above a stainless steel cavity that holds the liquid nitrogen. Tube contents are frozen by the liquid nitrogen that surrounds the mortar. Because liquid nitrogen does not make contact with the tubes, it prevents them from cracking. The set includes a 5” long stainless steel pestle. Visit www.belart.com to learn more.
