Available from Velocity 11, a pioneer in automation technology solutions for life science laboratories, BenchCel? is a robust benchtop microplate handling system that delivers the speed and precision of much larger and more expensive automation platforms.

The BenchCel system features a novel high-speed plate shuttle that accesses the integrated microplate stacks and two peripheral instruments. This customisable, modular design provides the flexibility and scalability required to meet the needs of the most diverse laboratory environments. Users can choose from 2, 4 or 6 stack instrument configurations, and from four different sizes of removable racks with capacities of 15 to 70 standard microplates. Adding to the BenchCel's versatility, the delidding function removes and replaces microplate lids as necessary.

The BenchCel is powered by the popular VWorks? automation control software. VWorks' icon-based protocol editor and straightforward user interface simplifies walkup protocol creation and execution for benchtop systems. Benefiting from an integrated labware database, most labware is easily handled, including SBS standard footprint microplates, deep well plates, tip boxes and tube racks. The BenchCel platform can integrate with a wide range of peripheral instruments, including all major Velocity11 products as well as various third party devices. VWorks' powerful dynamic scheduler enables the integration of multiple BenchCels to create sophisticated benchtop systems capable of automating complex assays.
