LaTheta™ LCT-200 from Zinsser Analytic is the second-generation mobile micro-CT scanner from Hitachi-Aloka. Designed for small animals up to 1.5kg, the LCT-200 provides a proven tool for biomedical research.

The system allows the automatic in vivo quantification of subcutaneous and visceral fat. In addition, the fat content of liver and the notoriously hard to visualise and quantitate brown fat tissue (BAT), can also be determined in vivo.

Furthermore, LaTheta™ can also acquire extremely clear images of the heart and lungs even when implants or stents are present. During the scanning process, the CT images are displayed real time on the screen for review.

The LaTheta™ LCT-200 is a truly portable CT scanner that is compact occupying a footprint of about one square meter only and requires no special facilities for operation.
