Compact Taring and Dosing System
Aug 01 2011
Taris is a low cost robotic workstation for the taring and weighing of vials with optional de-capping and capping, developed by Zinsser Analytic. The system is designed to manage batches of 100 to 200 vials per run. Taris is fast with a processing time of approximately 1 minute per vial, which includes the removal and replacement of the cap. An optional barcode reader can also be included to check the barcode of the vial while the cap is being removed and replaced. Taris is easy to operate - the user just recalls the rack type, enters the number of vials in the run then starts the method by a key stroke. Taris operates completely unattended, producing a file documenting the recorded weights and barcode identifiers for each run allowing a complete sample audit trail.
